At 8:00 a.m., you must be ready in the lobby of your Cairo hotel. Your knowledgeable tour guide will be holding a sign with your name on it. You will first go to Egypt's "Cave Church," one of the country's greatest churches, where 70,000-plus Christians assemble every week to worship and thank Jesus — a site that is home to one of the world's oldest Christian communities. The cave, also known as the Monastery of Saint Simon, is located in the Mokattam Mountain in southern Cairo, in a neighborhood known as "garbage city" because of the high concentration of rubbish collectors, or Zabbaleen. You will be transferred back to your hotel at the end of the Tour.
